Christian, Young Mother, UH student, while Seeking God…
Just some general words to describe me. Currently in a transition, I have entered Motherhood recently and as you can guess “it has changed me”. Not only have I gone from being an overly achiever/ party-goer in college to a brand new mom, but I have become a new person in Christ.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17) NIV
I was super involved in school my first two years of college. I was a pretty good student, but I was also partying a lot, drinking, and just being “young”. Sure I was doing okay, going to school and just being a young person…but in my eyes what I would do was normal. In this generation we are expected to “loosen up” in college. Be wild. Be free. Especially since adulthood was just around the corner. So why not enjoy our youth right? It’s a LIE that has been brainwashed into
I am telling you this because I want people to see that I was just doing what society expected of me. I was just going with the flow, with no real direction. I was extremely social, and I loved it. Talking to complete strangers was never a problem for me. I can say I was pretty outgoing but deep inside of me I just knew life wasn’t about popularity, yet I hungered for likeness from others. Anyways, I have flaws. I am not perfect is what I am trying to say. I am just like everyone else. A human being that was lost and desperately needing a reality check.
& that was when life happened…I became a Mother in the middle of my studies
and Jesus Christ came into my heart leading me with direction! He will never abandon you. You just have to seek Him with an open heart and you will find Him. After that, you have to listen to him and follow his ways, teach others with love.
“If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32) NIV
I am now free! Moving on with my new life in a new direction alongside my Savior! Ready to serve with purpose, spread His Word, and spread His Truth!
